The program also highlights the importance of energy efficiency, one of themes which will be presented at C40 Sao Paulo Summit, international conference that gathers mayors from large cities to present solutions to tackle climate change which will take place in Sao Paulo from May 31st to June 3rd.
The Department of Public Lighting (Ilume), in partnership with AES Eletropaulo, is responsible for all lighting renovation at the park with an investment of R$ 4,6 million (Brazilian reais). The completed project will have 849 new 113W LED and more than 800 bulbs will be replaced by metallic units. The LED technology will guarantee a 20% savings in energy bills.
